- AERO Logistics Network launches as the air cargo industry’s first general access and non-exclusive network built exclusively for airfreight solution providers.
- It enables members to expand globally through vetted, airfreight-specialized partners while maintaining strict quality and compliance standards.
As trade patterns shift rapidly, forwarders need partners with specific capabilities in specific markets, not just general contacts. AERO differentiates itself through three core mechanisms:
AI-powered verification. Member verification is powered by a third-party compliance and AI validation platform, ensuring each company meets high operational and financial standards before admission.
Active facilitation. AERO’s proprietary algorithm matches members based on trade lanes, operational needs and business goals, then coordinates introductions – turning trusted connections into real shipments.
Global buying power. Members gain access to carrier volume incentive programs, preferred agreements, and competitive capacity solutions that independents can’t access alone.
“We’re not providing a contact directory,” said Leo Barbaroussis, Network Director of AERO Logistics Network. “We’re actively connecting vetted forwarders who can move cargo together. AERO is the first airfreight network combining scale, trust, and commercial value.”
AERO is currently in its founding member phase, limited to 50 companies before opening to general admission. Founding members receive priority access, an advisory seat to shape network policies, locked-in pricing, and permanent recognition.
The network will host its first annual conference on 12th October 2026 at the Castillo Hotel Son Vida, a Marriott property in Mallorca, Spain.
In parallel, AERO is unveiling a digital rate exchange portal for real-time airfreight pricing, with quotation and booking interfaces for exporters and importers. The network is also developing digital learning modules and a Private Group for Young Professionals.
