Lady Rebels snag Montain West conference transfer from the portal

Lady Rebels snag Mountain West conference transfer from portal The first transfer portal pickup for UNLV women’s basketball this offseason is a former Mountain West opponent. 6-foot-2 forward Norah Moo is committed to joining the Lady Rebels after one season at Grand Canyon, she announced Friday. As a freshman this past season, Moo made four starts in 31 games. She averaged 3.7 rebounds, 3.8 points and 13.5 minutes. She also shot a team-best 52.7 percent from the field, recorded two double-digit scoring performances and had 11 games with at least five rebounds. She previously attended Pinnacle High School in Phoenix, where she racked up plenty of awards, including 6A Desert Valley Region Player of the Year. The Lady Rebels beat Grand Canyon twice this season before finishing No. 2 in the Mountain West and getting eliminated in the semifinals of the conference tournament with a 66-59 loss to Colorado State, which went on to win the championship. Colorado State beat Grand Canyon in the tournament quarterfinals before facing UNLV. Moo had six points and 11 rebounds as her team was eliminated, with UNLV women’s basketball coach Lindy La Rocque watching. La Rocque entered this offseason with six graduating players and four Lady Rebels promptly entering the portal, but she still had a leg up on recruiting as in November she announced the signings of six incoming freshmen.
